All components of the pipe wrench consist of forged, heat-treated cast iron so the pipe stands up to rigorous plumbing demands. The adjustment wheel on the Irwin pipe wrench spins easily to move the neck of the upper clamping jaw up and down smoothly. A heavy-duty housing protects the smoothness of movement. The wide I-beam handle of the cast iron pipe wrench gives you better balance throughout the length of the tool, plus its 24-inch length lets you use two hands when necessary for greater leverage. Both the upper and lower jaws have hardened teeth that bite securely into material.
